House Joint Resolution 0051 – Pray4TN
Our recent efforts with the Tennessee Prayer Coalition (TPC) leaders across our state include gathering those “physically able and spiritually inclined” for Pray4TN’s “Historic Call to Fasting, Prayer and Repentance.” This initiative began with a House Joint Resolution by Tennessee’s House Rep. Monty Fritts and Sen. Mark Pody. These 30 TPC men and women, helped us recruit and get the word out to their regions’ pastors, prayer leaders and churches, where Christians gathered for Solemn Assemblies at all 95 county courthouses over the whole month of July in 2024 and 2025. Since they helped a Nashville, Tennessee pastor coordinate Awaken Tennessee’s 40 day fasting effort, with 1000 churches statewide in February of 2020, and the Rogersville, Tennessee revival that broke out for 30 days during this fast, Terry and Barbi Franklin have been interviewed numerous times for prayer and fasting efforts that have become catalysts for a spirit of renewal and awakening in various places across the state. This CBN News article and video was taken at the Pray4TN final gathering at the state capitol on July 31st, 2024, that we called, “Moving Forward As One.” This event marked the beginning of a movement with folks contacting the website from all over the nation wanting to do the same.
Pray4TN is now annual! In the Spring of 2025, a new, but similar resolution passed through the Assembly with overwhelming support of 59 co-sponsors, and was signed by Gov. Bill Lee. After its second year of Solemn Assemblies at all 95 county courthouses, TPC and Pray4TN County leaders further envision this movement reigniting much needed weekly corporate prayer — setting apart July for focused teaching and practical application — until prayer gatherings become the culture of every church in Tennessee year-round. Leaders believe that without prayer taking new priority in every church in Tennessee and across our nation, America is doomed to fail. Every sign of the failure of a nation is now prevelant in the USA, and that means only Almighty God can heal our land!
